In a bid to boost its retail business, TV Sundram Iyengar & Sons Ltd (TVS) has launched TVS Hypermart at the recently concluded Auto Serve 2014. The first of its kind initiative has been set up jointly by Sankagiri Lorry Urimaiyalargal Sangam (SLUS) and TVS to address the needs of the 2,300 plus members of SLUS.

DSC_0340Under this arrangement the SLUS members will enjoy the benefits of an integrated approach to focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of vehicles by focusing on preventive maintenance, use of genuine parts, better driving for road safety and better mileage, 24×7 roadside assistance, use of technology to manage route planning, scheduling, geo-fencing, tracking vehicles to improve vehicle up-time and utilisation and a suite of similar services like single point for warranty management, insurance solutions etc.

Srinivasa Raghavan, CEO & Global President, TVS, said the TVS Hypermart will provide a unique membership card to all the members of SLUS that can be used across its outlets for parts purchases, servicing, fuel and any other commercial transaction as required. SLUS members are entitled to a special discount every time they use the TVS Hypermart membership card for the enlisted services. Besides the commercial benefit, the membership card enables SLUS go digital with its membership database, helping track, analyse and update details online as and when required.

The members will also get priority in servicing at the TVS service outlets. Besides, it will be the single point of redressal for all complaints, claims and warranty issues regardless of the brand / supplier of parts, thereby improving response and ease of redressal for the members. In addition, it will offer a unique loyalty programme that will bring various benefits offered by several agencies including the manufacturers, service providers, vehicle servicing outlets, fitment schemes, volume based incentives etc across all brands and manufacturers into one electronic platform.

Receiving the first membership card, SLUS president M R Kumaraswamy said, “The card is a way to make our business easier. Our drivers can carry the card alone and need not carry large amounts of money.”
