Renault India has launched its first entry-level hatchback Kwid at Rs 256,968 for the base model. Pitted against Maruti Alto 800 and Hyundai Eon, Kwid is priced aggressively, which is cheaper than Alto by Rs 30,000 and Rs 90,000 by Eon. The Kwid is the first car to be manufactured under Renault-Nissan’s CMF-A platform, and is powered by a three-cylinder 799cc SCe – Smart Control Efficiency petrol engine that makes 53.2bhp and 7.34kgm of torque.
