Jaya Hind Industries Pvt. Ltd. (JHI), a vertically integrated manufacturer and global supplier of precision aluminium die-cast components, has announced a phased investment of ₹600 crore over the next two years to expand and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities across High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) and Gravity Die Casting (GDC).
The investment builds on the company’s earlier announcement of ₹200 crore for its Chennai facility. JHI will now deploy an additional ₹400 crore, taking its total planned investment to ₹600 crore between FY2026–27 and FY2027–28.
The investment will be spread across JHI’s key manufacturing locations in Akurdi and Urse in Pune, as well as Chennai. The expansion programme includes the development of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Chennai and the installation of more than 12 new HPDC machines with capacities ranging from 1,200 tonnes to 3,500 tonnes.
JHI will also expand its precision machining capabilities and increase capacity for critical in-house processes, including heat treatment, impregnation and powder coating. The company plans to strengthen supporting plant infrastructure as part of the overall expansion.
A dedicated powder coating facility will further enhance JHI’s integrated manufacturing capabilities by bringing surface finishing in-house. The facility is expected to improve process control while supporting corrosion resistance, product durability and consistent finishing quality.
Commenting on the investment, Prasan Firodia, Managing Director, Jaya Hind Industries, said, “At Jaya Hind Industries, we have always believed in investing ahead of customer requirements. As demand for larger and more complex aluminium castings continues to grow, we are strengthening our manufacturing capabilities to deliver greater scale, precision and reliability. This investment will enhance our ability to support our customers’ future programmes while continuing to build globally competitive manufacturing capabilities from India, in line with the Government’s ‘Make in India’ vision.”
The planned investment is aimed at expanding JHI’s capacity, strengthening its vertically integrated manufacturing model and positioning its facilities to support the growing demand for advanced aluminium components across automotive and industrial applications.
