Faurecia, the world’s sixth-largest automotive supplier, received on June 24, 2014 the “Supplier of the Year” award at the Automotive Interiors Expo 2014 held at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Center. The prize, now in its third year, stands for extraordinary achievements and technologies in the field of automotive. Faurecia was able to come out on top, leaving renowned companies behind. The decision was taken by an international jury of 12 leading automotive and design journalists. The experts were won over by numerous developments and advancements of products, in particular in the fields of seating or interior systems.
“We are very happy and extremely proud to have won the award. Being honoured inspires and encourages us to consistently keep on working on the connection of new technologies with design and suitability for daily use. We see ourselves as pioneers in the field of lightweight construction, sustainability, life-on-board and efficiency”, said Andreas Wlasak, Vice President Industrial Design of Faurecia.
“Faurecia has had a brilliant year in 2013, from continuing to grow the business, to winning new contracts as well as bringing to market pioneering new interior automotive technologies. As such, the French Tier 1 supplier is a worthy winner at this year’s Automotive Interiors Expo Awards”, stated Dean Slavnich, Chairman, Automotive Interiors Expo Awards.
The Supplier of the Year Award is one of seven categories of the internationally renowned Automotive Interiors Expo Awards. They have been awarded for the third year running and have become one of the most prestigious awards throughout the automotive industry.
