Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, received TS16949:2009 certification for implementation and maintenance of quality management system in the area of design, development and manufacture of commercial vehicles.
The award was received by Marc Llistosella, MD and CEO, DICV from K Murugan, MD and CEO, Underwriter’s Laboratories DQS India.
Affiliated to the International Automotive Task Force (IATF), the ISO/TS 16949 is one of the very important accreditations, globally recognised, specifically intended for the automobile industry. The certification also covers critical parameters such as optimisation of cost, time and resources.

DICV obtained this certification meeting all requirements in a record time of 17 months from start of production, after rigorous audits conducted by the certifying body at its manufacturing plant at Oragadam, near Chennai.
