ACMA Mobility Foundation Hosts 5th Annual CFO Summit in New Delhi

The ACMA Mobility Foundation inaugurated the 5th Annual CFO Summit at Le Méridien New Delhi, bringing together finance leaders, policymakers, tax experts, and industry stakeholders under the theme “De-risking Growth: Finance Leadership in an Era of Global Disruptions.”

The summit focused on the evolving role of Chief Financial Officers in navigating global uncertainties, strengthening supply chains, ensuring regulatory preparedness, and driving sustainable business growth in an increasingly interconnected economic environment.

Opening the discussions, Anmol Jain, Chairperson, ACMA-NR and Managing Director, Lumax Auto Technologies, highlighted the transformation in the role of CFOs. He stated that modern CFOs have evolved beyond traditional finance and compliance functions to become strategic business partners responsible for risk management, capital allocation, cost competitiveness, digital transformation, and sustainable growth.

The summit also witnessed extensive deliberations on regulatory frameworks and global trade dynamics. Nimisha Chaudhary, Chartered Accountant, emphasised that regulatory considerations must now be embedded into every business decision, including GST, customs, trade agreements, and supply chain restructuring. She noted that tax predictability tools, advance ruling mechanisms, and AI-driven analytics are becoming increasingly important for reducing uncertainty in global transactions and improving decision-making capabilities.

Addressing logistics modernisation and trade facilitation, Manish Mohan Govil, IRS, Principal Commissioner, Directorate of Logistics, CBIC, Government of India, spoke about the importance of adopting 100 per cent non-intrusive container cargo scanning systems, similar to those operational at leading international ports such as Rotterdam, Dubai, Singapore, and Hong Kong. According to him, such systems can enable seamless and examination-free cargo clearance, significantly improving the efficiency of India’s trade and logistics ecosystem.

Representing the automotive industry perspective, Manish Saraf, Co-Chairperson, Northern Region, ACMA and Vice President, Paracoat Products Ltd., highlighted that the automotive component sector is becoming increasingly export-oriented and deeply integrated with global supply chains. He stressed that efficient logistics, predictable procedures, and stronger trade facilitation measures are now critical for enhancing India’s global competitiveness in the sector.

The summit served as a platform for discussions on resilience, policy evolution, digital transformation, and future-ready financial leadership, reflecting the growing importance of collaboration between industry, government, and finance professionals in shaping India’s economic growth trajectory.
