Mumbai, 30 August 2021: Amara Raja Batteries Limited, India’s premier Industrial and Automotive Battery producer, received the Excellent Energy Efficient Unit Award at the Confederation of Indian Industry’s 22nd National Awards Competition (CII). The Amara Raja Growth Corridor facility in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, was among the top performers of this highest recognition award in the Automotive and Engineering category. The CII hosted the 22nd annual national awards for Excellence in Energy Management online from August 24th to August 27th, 2021.
Amara Raja Batteries Limited also earned the event’s Innovative Initiative award for its energy-saving project on Pneumatic Cylinder size optimization, which was implemented in ARBL’s Small Batteries Division Plant.

CII had received over 400 online applications in various categories from nine industries. A panel of 30 prominent experts decided the winners based on strict criteria.
