Tenneco Automotive India Pvt Ltd. today announced the opening of its second Monroe stock shop in Ghaziabad, near Delhi. The outlet was inaugurated by Pankaj Kapoor Deputy Managing Director, Tenneco Automotive India in the presence of Uttam Gadia, Proprietor, Gadia Sales Corporation, the Tenneco aftermarket team and leading trade partners. This unique concept provides complete information and a single point of contact for the entire range of Monroe-branded shock absorbers and struts for vehicles across all segments.

Speaking at the inauguration, Kapoor said, “The opening of our second Monroe outlet of demonstrates Tenneco’s commitment to the Indian automotive aftermarket. Today’s opening follows the inauguration of our first outlet with Rane Pvt Ltd in Mumbai in January 2013. We intend opening more outlets in other major metropolitan areas in India.”

Monroe currently offers one of the widest ranges of shocks and struts to the Indian market with applications for all types of vehicles – from passenger cars and SUVs to two- and three-wheelers, off-road, light commercial vehicles and medium- and heavy-duty trucks. The products are available for more than 86% of the cars on Indian roads. This coverage is set to increase as the company continues to add new domestic and international vehicle references, leveraging both its domestic production capacity and that of Tenneco’s facilities in other parts of the world.

The brand has been growing in India over the last few years due to Tenneco’s efforts in quality, customer service, training and marketing initiatives. “We are on track to achieve our objective of reaching the number one position in the Indian aftermarket with our Monroe brand, a position we already enjoy in North America and Europe,” added Kapoor.

In addition to products the company is also providing its customers with tools such as electronic catalogues and local websites designed to provide easy access to the latest information. Established in 1995 Gadia Sales Corporation began its association with in 2000. In addition to Monroe, the company also distributes other leading brands to the Western Uttar Pradesh aftermarket. Ghaziabad is a key market for Tenneco India as it represents a major share of total aftermarket sales in the Northern region.
