Greaves Cotton appoints Vinay Pawar as Group CTO, sharpens focus on technology-led growth

Greaves Cotton Ltd. has appointed Vinay Pawar as its Group Chief Technology Officer (GCTO), effective May 4, 2026, reinforcing the company’s technology-led growth strategy across automotive and future mobility segments.

Operating from Pune, Vinay Pawar will drive the Group’s technology vision across product and platform innovation, digital capabilities, and future-ready engineering initiatives. His responsibilities will also include supporting Greaves Cotton’s expanding focus on e-powertrain and mobility technologies.

Commenting on the appointment, Parag Satpute, Managing Director & Group CEO, Greaves Cotton Ltd., said technology and innovation remain central to the company’s long-term growth plans under its “Greaves.NEXT” vision.

Vinay Pawar brings nearly 30 years of industry experience spanning automotive electronics, connected mobility, industrial automation, embedded systems, and emerging mobility technologies. Prior to joining Greaves Cotton, he held senior leadership responsibilities at Spark Minda Group.

Earlier in his career, Vinay Pawar worked with organisations including KPIT Technologies, Continental Automotive, Bosch, and ABB, where he contributed to advanced engineering and mobility programs across India and Europe.

The appointment reflects a wider industry shift, with automotive and component manufacturers increasingly investing in electronics, software integration, AI-enabled systems, and connected technologies to support next-generation mobility solutions.

Vinay Pawar holds a degree in Instrumentation Engineering, an MBA in Technology Management, and advanced qualifications in AI and ML.
