Motul Showcases Advanced Technology and Sustainability Leadership at SIAT Expo 2026

‏Motul India showcased its future-focused lubrication and fluid technologies at SIAT Expo 2026, aligning with the event’s theme, Innovative Pathways for Safe and Sustainable Mobility. The company highlighted advanced solutions designed to support evolving mobility architectures, sustainability objectives, and next-generation powertrains.

At the expo, Motul presented a range of technologies addressing emerging mobility needs, including direct cooling solutions for electric motors, power electronics, and immersive battery cooling systems. These innovations demonstrated the role of advanced lubrication and fluid engineering in enhancing vehicle safety, efficiency, and environmental performance.

Motul also highlighted the work of its global research and development teams, which continue to advance lubricant technologies for conventional internal combustion engines including hydrogen ICEs while simultaneously developing solutions for electric vehicles and next-generation powertrains. The showcase reflected Motul’s approach to delivering high-performance technologies tailored to regional requirements, regulatory environments, and future market readiness.

‎Dr. Julien Plet, Global Head of R&D, Motul, said, “Our R&D teams across geographies are focused on enhancing lubricant performance for existing powertrains while developing technologies aligned with future mobility needs and local market conditions.” Dr. Plet also delivered the keynote address on Innovative Fluids for NextGen Mobility at SIAT Expo 2026.

Among the key highlights was Motul’s E-Gen fluid technology series, developed for hybrid and electric vehicles. The E-Gen range supports thermal management of electric motors, battery systems, and power electronics critical factors for EV reliability and efficiency. Motul positioned E-Gen as a future-ready solution, aligned with the gradual evolution of electrified mobility and infrastructure development.

Motul also showcased its NGEN sustainable lubricant range, formulated using base oils derived from re-refined lubricants. The technology underscores the company’s commitment to circular economy principles and responsible resource use. NGEN was presented as part of Motul’s long-term sustainability roadmap, with an emphasis on technical credibility and environmental responsibility.

In line with SIAT Expo’s focus on future fuels, Motul presented lubricant technologies under development for hydrogen internal combustion engines, highlighting early-stage research investments and readiness to support alternative propulsion technologies ahead of large-scale commercialization.

Further reinforcing its race-to-road engineering philosophy, Motul showcased OEM-validated technologies, including a Motul-developed lubricant approved by Mercedes-Benz, meeting stringent global performance standards. The company also presented a lubricant developed in collaboration with Toyota Racing Development, reflecting how motorsport serves as a testing and development platform for real-world applications.
