Goodyear India Limited has been honoured with the esteemed Golden Peacock Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance 2024 in the ‘Rubber’ segment. This prestigious recognition underscores Goodyear’s unwavering commitment to the highest standards of governance, ethical practices, and corporate responsibility in its operations.
The Golden Peacock Awards, known as a benchmark for corporate excellence, highlight organizations that excel in corporate governance, sustainability, and innovative business practices. Goodyear’s achievement positions it as a leader in fostering transparency, accountability, and trust among its stakeholders.
The Golden Peacock Award Instituted in 1991 by the Institute of Directors (IOD), India, is one of the most coveted recognitions for corporate governance and sustainability practices. This year, out of 499 entries in various categories, 201 applications were shortlisted after a meticulous three-tier assessment. The distinguished jury, chaired by Justice M. N. Venkatachaliah, former Chief Justice of India, alongside other eminent leaders in governance, sustainability, and risk management, evaluated the entries based on strict criteria to identify outstanding examples of corporate excellence.
The award was presented during the Golden Peacock Awards Presentation Ceremony on November 13, 2024, at The Montcalm, Marble Arch, London, UK, as part of the 2024 Annual London Global Convention on Corporate Governance & Sustainability, organized by the Institute of Directors (IOD) India.
