Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari revealed that significant progress has been made under Phase-1 of the Bharatmala Pariyojana, with 76% of the planned 34,800 km of national length awarded by December 2023. Out of this, approximately 15,549 km have been successfully completed. Gadkari highlighted that a substantial sum of Rs. 4.23 lakh crore has already been expended on the Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-1 by December 2023.
