Bosch exhibits on 2,300 square meters in Hall 9 at this year’s Automechanika in Frankfurt am Main. From 16 to 20 September 2014, the leading complete provider for trade and workshops will showcase its broad range of spare parts, diagnostics and workshop equipment as well as service activities and workshop concepts. Bosch products and solutions for the workshop of both today and tomorrow are presented here in a clear and comprehensive manner.
The focus is on new technologies for the workshop
One highlight of Bosch’s tradeshow appearance is the technological refinement of the workshop business. The increasing degree of networking, you see, is also changing the nature of service work. Bosch has developed the requisite modules, and is set to debut new technologies for the “connected workshop” at Automechanika. An especially interesting module is the use of Augmented Reality for motor vehicle repairs and training. On the stand, visitors will have the opportunity to try out Augmented Reality themselves at numerous stations using their own Smartphone. From early September onwards, a special app will be available to download free-of-charge from the Bosch Automechanika website www.bosch-automechanika.com.
Live demonstrations and training on stage
Bosch will present an ongoing and varied program on the large stage. Professional trainers will demonstrate the new technologies and training live, including diagnostic solutions for electro and hybrid vehicles. The detailed program will be available online from early September at www.bosch-automechanika.com.
Spare parts and diagnostics: a host of innovations and developments
Bosch will present and demonstrate live a host of new products and solutions. This includes the refinement of spare parts, such as the new high-performance spark plug for engines with direct petrol injection, or the Aerotwin Plus wiper blade with an innovative adapter system.
Especially for workshop use, Bosch is now offering a robust tablet computer which, as Diagnostic Control Unit (DCU 130), controls all Bosch testing and diagnostic modules. Bosch is premiering the DCU at this year’s Automechanika along with the new KTS 800 Truck diagnostics tester. The new KTS 440 diagnostics tester rounds out the tried and proven KTS range. The DCU 100 and DCU 220 Windows-based tablet computers are being debuted. The Bosch Esitronic Bike workshop software will be demonstrated on a motorcycle.
Bosch’s entire system expertise for commercial vehicles will also be demonstrated live on a truck – including control unit diagnostics for commercial vehicles using Esitronic 2.0 Truck. Bosch will demonstrate the professional testing of diesel injection components, of both conventional injection nozzles and Common Rail injectors for passenger cars and commercial vehicles on the EPS 205 compact test stand, another innovation. The new Remote Service for the Bosch air-conditioning service unit ACS 752 will also be debuted.
And special solutions, including some new telematic products, and an expanded Bosch range for vehicle manufacturers will be also be presented.
Bosch workshop concepts on the stand
Workshop concepts such as Bosch Car Service and AutoCrew can also be seen at Automechanika. At a completely constructed Bosch Car Service, Bosch will demonstrate the requirements it has for future workshop partners.
