Safexpress has opened a new logistics facility in Vadodara, Gujarat. Located on the Vadodara–Halol Highway at Asoj, Waghodia, the facility covers an area of 2.40 lakh square feet and includes transhipment and third-party logistics (3PL) capabilities.
The facility has a cross-dock setup that allows loading and unloading of more than 50 vehicles at the same time. It features a column-free span of over 105 feet for internal movement of goods and 16-feet-wide cantilever sheds to allow for weather-independent loading and unloading.
Vadodara is a regional centre for industries such as petrochemicals, engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and information technology. It includes industrial zones like GIDC and the IOC plant, which support various forms of manufacturing. The new facility adds to the area’s existing logistics infrastructure and is expected to handle growing warehousing and distribution requirements.
The logistics park includes firefighting systems, trained emergency personnel, an integrated rainwater harvesting system, a green zone, and design features that allow the use of natural daylight to reduce energy consumption. Its operations are structured to facilitate the movement of goods between Gujarat and other locations across India.
