NXP’s NTAG X DNA linked NFC tag is compatible with any NFC mobile device and offers secure unique NFC(SUN) authentication together with high-density memory and a high data rate to facilitate smooth communication and safe authentication.
Today, NXP semiconductors unveiled their new type four secure connected NFC tag,NTAG X DNA. The NTAG X DNA uses secure unique NFC ( SUN) authentication, a high data rate, and 16kb of high density memory to swiftly and simply confirm the legitimacy of a product or gadget. The NTAG X DNA allows mobile device to safely send data to another device using an 12C or NFC interface, and it was created to help manufacturers comply with digital product passport (DPP) regulation and fight counterfeiting in a variety of areas, such as healtcare, smart homes, mobile and gaming devices and Peripherals, and industrial application,it provides a high security authentication solution.
Why it’s important By giving customers a quick and safe way to confirm a product legitimacy before buying it,NFC helps to increase brand trust and combat fake goods.the impending EV mandate to utilise a Digital product passport (DPP) by 2007, which comprises a digital record of crucial data regarding a product’s composition, origin, and lifecycle, is one aspect of that battle. By enabling this data to be safely kept and reading accessible, the NTAG X DNA Facilitates compliance with these new standards.
With dual interface capabilities that allows device information, authentication, and on boarding to be reading accessed with a single tap, secure linked NFC tags enhance the user’s experience, according to Alasdair Ross, Senior Director, NFC loT security, NXP. ” The NTAG X DNA provide a highly secure authentication experience across healthcare, smart loT devices, and mobile and gaming applications. It is compatible with any NFC mobile device and supported by NXP’s mobile device and supported by NXP’s Edgelock 2GO credentials delivery service. ”
Additional information: NXP’s latest Type four secure linked NFC tag,the NTAG X DNA , supports both NFC and 12c and is compliant with Iso/IEC 14443-4. By connecting directly to an MCU,it facilitates comprehensive device diagnostics and enables customers to access cloud support via an NFC- enable smartphone. Even in the absence of power,it’s 16kB of memory allows it to safely retain and retrieve device information for authentication and verification. This protects users privacy by enabling the removal of sensitive data stored on the device, even in the event that the device cannot be turned on. Compared to earlier generation the high data rate of 848kbphs enables a smooth user experience and performance enhancements.
With its common criteria FAL6+ certification and support for public key infrastructure (PKI)- based asymmetric cryptography and authentication, the NTAG X DNA is incredibly secure, NXP’s Edgelock 2GO service support the NTAG X DNA for the distribution of UIDS and certificates, as well as the creation of extra certification.
