Sheet metal and tubular component major Metalman Auto Private Limited (MAPL) is embarking on a new journey to Germany with supplies commencing to BMW Motorad from its Waluj plant. The German company’s order is the culmination of MAPL’s efforts taken during the last 28 years and is a testimony to its quality systems. We took a short journey to understand the manufacturing process.
With four plants in Waluj, near Aurangabad, MAPL makes several parts including frames for five motorcycle models of Bajaj Auto and sheet metal components for threewheelers manufactured by the same OEM.
Coating & Plating
Plant one is for powder coating and electroplating in addition to design and development of parts. The company has built in capability to execute all types of surface treatments such as Ni-Cr, Zn-Ni plating, powder coating and spray painting.
