Yulu— the shared e-Mobility service provider today announced the expansion of its safe and affordable e-Mobility services in Peenya Industrial Area(PIA). The company deployed its all-new fleet of 100 battery-powered e-bikes(YULU Miracle) to primarily solve the complex problem of first and last-mile connectivity for commuters in and around special zones like PIA and to reduce congestion and pollution in the city. The launch event was graced by Srinivas Asrana, President – PIA, Vijay Kumar Makal General Secretary – PIA and Circle Inspector of Peenya – Shri. Raju.
Commenting on the launch in Peenya Industrial Area Amit Gupta, CEO & CoFounder, YULU said, “Given the requirement of social distancing, solo ridership will be preferred to the group, and driver led shared mobility options.We are proud to collaborate with PIA for a common vision of safe and affordable first and last-mile connectivity . The launch in the Peenya Industrial Area is in accord with our mission of providing affordable mobility options to the citizens. We aim to modernize the commute system in the city by offering IoT based affordable e-rides with a focus on special zones like Electronic City and now Peenya Industrial Area. We will soon beef up our fleet size in PIA by 3x”.

This will be the second time the company is focussing on easing commute options in industrial townships, and earlier had collaborated with Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA). This collaboration also aims to serve citizens in PIA during the ongoing corona crisis by offering a safe commute option. Yulu vehicles are sanitized several times in a day through a WHO-recommended sanitizer and the last sanitized timestamp is shown to the users on the Yulu app. Yulu is a new-age a “Safe & Solo” service which can be utilized to commute and move around within the city at affordable prices.
The company plans to expand its network coverage helping citizens shift to a sustainable mode of transport.
