Tata Power Mumbai Distribution has deployed a fleet of 24 electric cars and 32 electric bikes for operations and maintenance of the Mumbai distribution network. The move is part of the company’s commitment to sustainable practices and reducing carbon emissions. Using this e-fleet will result in over 1.22 lakh green kilometres saved and a reduction in nearly 80 tonnes of carbon emissions every year. The utility fleet was flagged off by senior Tata Power executives at the company’s Dharavi Receiving Station in Mumbai. In addition to deploying the e-fleet, Tata Power Mumbai Distribution is also planning to install more EV charging stations in various locations across Mumbai. This will further encourage the adoption of electric vehicles and contribute towards reducing carbon emissions. With the deployment of the e-fleet, Tata Power Mumbai Distribution is taking another step towards its notable commitment to a sustainable future.
