Maruti Suzuki India Limited launched its first compact SUV, Vitara Brezza, at a starting price of Rs 6.99 Lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi). The company has started accepting bookings for the Vitara Brezza through its 1799 strong dealer network across the country. With Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki is now present across all critical segments of the passenger vehicle market.

The exterior of Vitara Brezza have characteristic dual colour scheme and a unique floating roof, its interiors are high on practical, usable space, an advanced infotainment system and an array of first-in-the-segment features to make it stand out. It is the first car in the country that is certified for offset and side impact crash tests which will be enforced in India in 2017. The carmaker has used multiple innovative technologies like intelligent battery management, gear shift indicator and low rolling-resistance tyres to make Vitara Brezza the most fuel efficient compact-SUV. A petrol variant for the Vitara Brezza is expected in the future.
The compact-Suv comes with the host of features and new styling such as ‘Bull Horn’ shaped LED light guide in headlamps and rear combination lamps, projector headlamps with auto function ‘On/Off’, unique cockpit style instrument cluster with mood lights, large tyres and SMARTPLAY infotainment. Vitara Brezza also offers theme based personalisation options such as Glamour, Urban, Sporty, a feature never seen before in the SUV market in India.
Vitara Brezza also gets a spacious cabin and offers maximum usable space with the right proportions. Customers also get a choice of 5 preset colours in the speedometer, reverse parking camera, sliding armrest with storage for driver, brushed aluminium accentuation on IP, roof lining with premium fabric, seat back coat-hook (driver side). Apart from that, the overall ergonomics of the vehicle offers excellent visibility for bumper to bumper traffic in India. With a height of 1640 mm, Vitara Brezza offers ample headroom that can easily accommodate occupants with various (at least 18 different) Indian head gears.
The large, 328 litre, boot is wide enough for easy access and comfortable handling of heavy and large luggage. The boot space can be extended with the unique flip folded seats and 60:40 rear split, maximising the utility space. Other comfort features on Vitara Brezza include rain sensing wipers, auto headlight, cruise control, air-cooled upper box, card holder in glove box, among others. The Vitara Brezza will come in 7 variants including LDI, LDI (O), VDI, VDI(O), ZDI, ZDI+ and ZDI (D).
Vitara Brezza will come in seven diesel variants. Petrol version will be launched at a later stage.
