Freudenberg, a global leader in filtration technology, has expanded its product portfolio with next-generation Fan Filter Units (FFUs), enhanced Bag-In/Bag-Out (BIBO) systems with integrated blowers, and specialized NMP-compatible filters engineered for Lithium-Ion (LiB) and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery production environments.
Innovation in Cleanroom Air Filtration
The new Freudenberg FFU Series is designed for semiconductor, battery, and pharmaceutical cleanrooms, providing precise control of laminar airflow with HEPA and ULPA efficiency up to ISO Class specifications (ISO 14644-1). Key features include an energy-efficient EC motor (up to 35% lower consumption), uniform airflow distribution, low vibration and acoustic performance, and smart monitoring options for differential pressure and filter life. Cluster-level control is supported through CCM software.
Enhanced Safety with Next-Gen BIBO Systems
Freudenberg’s upgraded BIBO systems are designed for hazardous material handling and ensure safe filter replacement without operator exposure. The systems feature gas-tight sealing, pressure-tested containment, modular stainless-steel construction, and an integrated EC blower that maintains stable airflow during filter changeover. They are compatible with HEPA/ULPA, activated carbon, and specialty chemical filters.
Specialized Solutions for Battery and NMP Environments
To address the harsh conditions of LiB and LFP manufacturing, Freudenberg has developed NMP-resistant filter media capable of withstanding aggressive organic solvents. These filters maintain mechanical integrity, particle retention, and airflow stability in high-humidity and solvent-vapor conditions. Typical applications include dry rooms, electrode coating lines, solvent recovery, and VOC or acid-gas removal using hybrid chemical filtration systems.
Commitment to Safe and Sustainable Filtration
These additions support evolving cleanroom, dry room, and battery manufacturing requirements, while reinforcing Freudenberg’s focus on filtration performance, process safety, and long-term environmental reliability.
