Chennai bases Comstar Automotive Technologies Private Limited has won the prestigious Ford Global Supplier Excellence Award in ‘Silver’ category. It was given for the supply of starter assemblies. The award was received by the CEO of the company, Sat Mohan Gupta at Ford Global Top Supplier Meet at Dearborn, NA on 22nd May’14.
Instituted 16 years ago, the ‘World Excellence Awards’ represent the pinnacle of achievement for supplier partners to Ford. These awards were designed to recognise suppliers who exceed Ford’s expectations and distinguish themselves from their peers by achieving the highest levels of global excellence in quality, cost and delivery performance.
Fifty-one global supplier partners were honored at a special ceremony at Dearborn, Michigan for their exceptional contributions to Ford Motor Company in 2013.
Unique Position
Comstar Automotive is the only company from India on this exclusive list. Eighteen countries were represented at the annual Awards.

With close to two decades of its operations in design and manufacture the company supplies to several global OEMs including Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Mazda, Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland – Nissan JV.
