BMW launched the all-new X5 M and X6 M in India at Rs 1.55 crore and Rs 1.6 crore respectively, ex-showroom. Both the cars will be available at BMW dealerships across India as CBUs (Completely Built-Up) units. With their striking use of forms, the all-new BMW X5 M and the all-new BMW X6 M clearly flag sporting ambitions. The M-specific design characteristics visually emphasize the sporty driving experience.

The BMW X5M and the X6M share a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 under the hood producing 575PS of power and 750Nm of torque with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that powers all four wheels through the BMW’s xDrive system. BMW claims that both the cars can do the 0-100kmph sprint in 4.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. The claimed fuel efficiency is 9.09kmpl for both the models. the X5 M and X6 M get new bumpers with larger air intakes, painted wheel arch flares, revised front fenders, chunkier door sills and a revised rear bumper with quad exhausts. Both cars get 20-inch alloy wheels to further set them apart from the standard SUVs. Inside, the SUVs get BMW M steering with paddle shifters, iDrive infotainment system and sport seats . In terms of safety, both SUVs come equipped with features such as eight airbags, Hill Descent Control, ABS, Corner Brake Control and Stability Control to name a few.
