The third edition of the Automotive Testing Expo 2014 was inaugurated this morning at the Chennai Trade Centre. The three-day event (March 19-21) has participation from 130 leading automotive test equipment manufacturers and test service providers including MTS Systems, Horiba, National Instruments, Automotive Test Systems, AVL and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI.
Participants have displayed a variety of equipment and software that are designed to handle a gamut of testing requirements from emissions and engine testing to NVH, vehicle simulation, track simulation, occupant safety and sensors and transducers. The expo also features a series of special technology workshops on topics ranging from efficient fuel consumption optimisation, engine combustion analysis, NVH testing and advances in transmission testing.
The managing director of Automotive Events Division, Dominic Cundy said, “Test and evaluation continues to be the key area of automotive manufacturing process in every country, particularly in the developing nations. Here at Automotive Testing Expo in India visitors can see the latest technologies that are vital to all car manufacturing companies.”
