BorgWarner Inc. (NYSE: BWA) announced the promotion of Joseph Fadool to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, effective July 1, 2024. Currently, Fadool is Vice President of BorgWarner Inc. and President and GM of Emissions, Thermal, and Turbo Systems. Fadool will oversee the company’s operations, with business unit presidents reporting to him. He will report to Frédéric Lissalde, President and CEO.
Lissalde praised Fadool’s familiarity with the organization and his contributions to the Emissions, Thermal, and Turbo Systems unit, noting strong growth and strengthened relationships with major OEMs under his leadership. Lissalde expressed his enthusiasm for working closely with Fadool to achieve better outcomes for customers and shareholders.
Fadool expressed his honor in taking on the COO role, emphasizing BorgWarner’s potential to drive advanced mobility solutions and deliver sustained value through innovative product leadership. He looks forward to supporting the company’s transition and its global customers.
Company Also Establishes New Business Unit Structure
With Fadool’s appointment, BorgWarner will reorganize its business units to enhance its Charging Forward strategy. Effective July 1, 2024, the new structure will be:
– Emissions, Thermal, and Turbo Systems led by Dr. Volker Weng.
– Drivetrain and Morse Systems led by Isabelle McKenzie.
– PowerDrive Systems led by Dr. Stefan Demmerle.
– Battery and Charging Systems led by Henk Vanthournout.
Lissalde stated that the new structure will boost operational agility, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration, positioning BorgWarner to capture future growth opportunities. The company will align its financial reporting with this new structure starting July 1, 2024.
